Corona Virus – How to properly wash your hands before handling your sewing machine and your sewing machine instruction manual and why you should.

Last week we discussed making your own face mask during this corona virus health pandemic as a way to possibly jump starting your sewing business.

This week I ran into a video discussing how to properly wash your hands. What made me want to post this?

Well I happened to be waiting at a Metro station and they were playing a video on how to properly wash your hands, and I have to say, I was quite impressed.

So I think you will enjoy the video, after all:

You sit at your sewing machine and handle it, then you go to your computer which may be sitting right next to your sewing machine, or not, and take a look at your sewing machine instruction manual

If you’re not already doing it, you will be.

We have known for a long time how unsanitary the computer keyboard is, and cleaning the keyboard with a sanitary towel and/or alcohol has been a given for proper hygiene forever.

Remember when we used to wipe down our telephones?Back when telephones were still hung on the wall and attached to a cord?

If you still have one of those, and there are several members of the family in the household, then wiping down the telephone is also a given. But that was before the new iphones.

I admit to not wiping down my iphone as much as I used to wipe down the old phones, and the computer keyboard,

although I find myself remind myself to do it and then forgetting again.

So I thought I would share the latest video on how to “properly” wash our hands, during this pandemic health scare and corona virus spread. Here it is:

Why talk about this?

Well think about how much time you spend on your sewing machine, and you start realizing that, whether it’s the old phone,

the new phone, the computer or the sewing machine, they pretty much all fall into the same category of things we use and touch with our hands on an ongoing basis.

Behavior that establishes them as ‘suspicious’ and subject to proper corona virus health pandemic procedure, see?

Enjoy the video, and as always, if you enjoyed this article let your friends know that this is a great place to get your sewing machine instruction manual.
