Overlocker needle plate repair
The damaded Globe M34 overlocker needle plate
White overlocker needle plate
Craft tool and disk cutter for cutting a groove in the needle plate.
Place the needle plate in a clamp gently.
Tools needed.
Marking the centre of the needle plate
Cut a groove in the needle plate. Only the depth of the new pin!

Using a sewing needle of the correct thickness.
Cleaning up the needle plate
Checking the pins length
Cutting the pin to size
Rounding the pin and removing sharp edges.
Placing the new pin and balancing it makes it easier to install.
Coursing the part to be soldered
Warming the needle plate and pin
Fitting the new pin with solder
Soldering the pin in.
Cutting of the pin edge away.
Pin's edge cut away.
Use a craft cutter to remove lead solder
Clean needle plate with a fine water sand paper.
