Globe Lock M-34 Service manual and White Superlock 534DW

This service manual is for the White Superlock 534DW or Globe Lock M-34 and covers the diagnostics and solutions to thread breaks, needle breaks, skipping stitches, not cutting properly, and irregular stitches.

This manual shows various adjustments including thread tension, disassembling, and all timing settings.

The manual will cover all the settings for the looper timing. I'll suggest that you use new needles, I prefer Schmetz needles.

A few things to look for:

If your upper looper touches your needles to much on their way down and don't straighten before they enter the material they can be pushed more skew. Normally your upper looper must just slide past.

I normally do this first and then set the lower looper accordingly.

This should not be necessary, but sometimes your two needles are not in straight line when you look at them from the side( Your lower looper point should pass behind your needles the same distance) You change this by loosening the needle bar. Always make a note of how high your needles are from your needle plate at their highest point before changing it.

Make sure the older loopers point is still nice and sharp, it is best have it polished with a little craft buffing wheel.

Also make sure the little pin on your needle plate is still good and don't have any hooks(needle damaged) stopping your cotton from sliding off. Can be repaired if it is broken.
