Have you ever thought about 'chucking it all' and moving to a foreign country and starting your very own personal service sewing business?

Well this lady has done just that. An amazing story to be sure, I met Anka Hermann by chance and her story intrigued me.

Not only had she never started a sewing business before, but she had never moved to Spain before either.
But that didn't stop her. 

This would not become what may be normally understood in larger countries as a Henry Ford style big factory style sewing business, as she tells the story in the video. 

It resembles what you normally would understand as being a personal tailoring service shop, which is more common abroad but this is for women, and specifically for Flamenco dresses.

You may have heard that when you start a business you want to 'niche' down, i.e. be specific about what market you serve and Flamenco dresses seems to fit the bill.

Anka now coaches others how to start a Flamenco sewing business in their own country.
